Turns out I wont have to lie to my flatmates at all now! Just got myself a nice wee temporary full time job, which will end about the time when I'll (hopefully) be returning to the obviously cushy life of the public sector call centre.
*does a jig*
This calls for a tune that I heard in my dream the other night, where I was a Space Rollercoaster test pilot. They strapped me in to something that looked like a highly polished mining cart, and sent me at high speeds through what looked like shiny metallic and yet dark and starry ventilation shafts. The shafts had rooms branching off from them, and the scientists wanted me to spit in each room, so that they could analyse my spit and extract ideas for art, books, graffiti and tunes from it. And all the while, this tune was playing away...

Things I've resolved to do before, but will actually do now.
I started this because quite frankly being an unemployed uni dropout loses its shine after about two weeks and I need something to distract me from this crushing sense of failure in my gut. You know it's bad when you start getting bored of the internet, so I've decided to create my own little online corner. Also, a friend told me he'd like it if I had a place to stick up all my admittedly bizarre dreams, as well as tunes, comics, art and recipes I like, so here it is.
I've just dropped out of uni for the second time in my life, and while I do officially plan on going back I have absolutely no idea what I want to do with myself. So this seems like an appropriate time to distract myself from the more pressing questions in my life (such as how the fuck am I going to pay the rent, and how long can I go without my flatmates realising I don't work in that shitey pub around the corner anymore?) by resolving to do some of the things I've always wanted to do but have put off.
- Start playing my saxophone again I reached associated board grade 6 in high school (never took the actual exam since I didn't have a spare £5o, but my tutor was keeping track of my levels) and then I just stopped because I'm an idiot.
- Learn how to spin poi. No reason except that it looks cool and I'd quite like to eventually be able to spin fire around my body as I feel it would be a good way to deter folk from fucking with you.
- Start drawing again and get into graffiti properly instead of just throwing up the occasional shitey tag. The first time I dropped out it was from art school, so it should be obvious that I have many boring and bitter issues with drawing and that putting stuff up publicly again would be a kind of petty vengeance for me.
- Keep practicing cooking. I'm capable of making tasty food, but I'm probably not going to be happy with my abilities until I can make a flawless 50ft croquembouche.
- Learn to play that bass guitar I've had sitting in my room for about a year and a half.
- Get a full time job that isn't completely boring and that will give me enough money to cook ridiculous amounts of fancy desserts for folk I like and to buy myself stupid amounts of whisky and beer.
Here, have a tune!
